Presenting Cyber Security to Business Audiences

Presenting cyber security to a business audience is a separate skill from doing the work. This four week course covers the briefing itself: what to open with, what to cut, and how to answer a question you were not expecting.

You present in every session and get direct feedback. By the end you can brief a board, defend a budget request, and speak clearly during an incident when the room is tense and the facts are still moving.

Presenting Cyber Security to Business Audiences

What you will be able to do

  • Open a briefing with the decision you need rather than the background
  • Turn a technical finding into a business consequence a director recognizes
  • Build a ten slide executive deck and present it inside fifteen minutes
  • Answer a hostile question without becoming defensive or vague
  • Say what you do not yet know during an incident without losing the room
  • Present a budget request in terms of risk reduced, not tools bought
  • Adapt the same material for a board, a project team and an audit committee
