What you will be able to do
- Explain the shared responsibility model and apply it to IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
- Audit cloud identity: roles, service accounts, federation and MFA coverage
- Find publicly exposed storage across AWS S3, Azure Blob and GCS
- Design network segmentation using cloud native firewall and routing controls
- Enable and interpret CloudTrail, Azure Activity Log and GCP audit logs
- Run a cloud security posture management scan and prioritise the findings
- Map cloud controls to a recognized framework for reporting
- Write a cloud risk summary a non technical manager can act on

- Service models and where the responsibility boundary moves
- Tenancy, regions, availability zones and data residency in Canada
- How cloud breaches usually happen, with public case patterns
- Comparing the three provider control planes
- Building a mental model of a cloud account you have never seen
What you need before you start
- Basic IT literacy: networking, operating systems and how a web application is served
- No prior cloud experience required, though any exposure helps
- Free tier accounts on at least two of AWS, Azure and GCP
- A laptop with a modern browser and a terminal
